A response to student letters:
“it is impossible not to use the content of any situation on behalf of what you really teach, and therefore really learn…from your demonstration others learn, and so do you. The question is not whether you will teach, for in that there is no choice. The purpose of the course might be said to provide you with a means of choosing what you want to teach on the basis of what you want to learn. You cannot give to someone else, but only to yourself, and this you learn through teaching. Teaching is but a call to witnesses to attest to what you believe. It is a method of conversion.” So, in that vein, here goes….!
One of the very first things the Master Teacher instructed me is to “never ever reduce your teaching”. You must always pitch your teaching, offer your demonstration where YOU find yourself in your mind. The ones who are meant to share in that & be healed will naturally gravitate towards you. You don’t have to manipulate anything as everything is orchestrated by God.
To really appreciate the plan of the teachers, you have to understand the nature & flexibility of time. “Their function is to save time. Each one begins as a single light, but with the Call at its center it is a light that cannot be limited. And each one saves a thousand years of time as the world judges it. To the Call Itself time has no meaning.” There is a ladder of ascension from A to Z, from Alpha to Omega, from the ‘Birthplace of Dreams’ which is also the ‘Deathplace of Dreams’. It ends where it begins – essentially it’s a loop. “Time has an ending, and it is this that the teachers of God are appointed to bring about. For time is in their hands. Such was their choice, and it is given them”
For every movement from step A to step C, there is a bridge B. For step X to Z, there has to be a bridge Y to get there. Everyone is a bridge for someone else in time. But how would it serve anyone if you always remained as bridge B – you have to evolve in consciousness as you go. The way Josh teaches this, is that you are replaceable. When you move up a rung on the ladder, you are always bringing someone up with you as you go. That one takes your place – the position you once held in the Greater Plan is filled by your student, so you can rise in frequency to enter into a new vista. In this sense, your teacher is always preparing a place for you. This keeps things moving in the right direction. You take all your thoughts home to God, like a net full of fish. How on earth is there any other way for a mind to complete its journey here? The sign of a good teacher is that they eventually become redundant. Josh has never bound me to an idea in time – he is always showing me, offering me more. Equally it is my agreement as his student that I allow him to rise & leave to prepare a new place.
“Because your will is free you can accept what has already happened at any time you choose, and only then will you realize that it was always there. As the course emphasizes, you are not free to choose the curriculum, or even the form in which you will learn it. You are free, however, to decide when you want to learn it. And as you accept it, it is already learned.
Time really, then, goes backward to an instant so ancient that it is beyond all memory, and past even the possibility of remembering. Yet because it is an instant that is relived again and again and still again, it seems to be now. And thus it is that pupil and teacher seem to come together in the present, finding each other as if they had not met before. The pupil comes at the right time to the right place. This is inevitable, because he made the right choice in that ancient instant which he now relives. So has the teacher, too, made an inevitable choice out of an ancient past. God’s Will in everything but seems to take time in the working-out. What could delay the power of eternity?”
When you finally reach the place in time when you decide you are done with dreaming in its entirety, you are given the right bridge for you, the right teacher who can take you to the next step. I started my path when I was 18 and over the past 25 years, at each cycle, I relinquished the tradition, the teacher because I saw that it was not whole, not comprehensive and I always wanted more, further, faster… “when the student is ready, the teacher comes” – in my complete devastation that I could not go on anymore with this so-called ‘life’ collapsed, in my true humble prayer of the heart, a door opened, light descended and thoroughly penetrated me and I was faithfully lead to the lineage I am now in – my teacher arrived, firstly in the form of the Master Teacher and subsequently Josh who would act as my final bridge. Did you know that the Master Teacher came for 3 weeks to the UK in 1997 bringing 20 of his brightest minds, only to pick up me in answer to my prayer? When a teacher is out on assignment, he is not expecting masses – he is lucky if only one person hears & recognises him.
How would a teacher earlier in time serve an advanced student later in time? That student has already transcended and moved past all that they have to offer. For myself, for instance, I have little use for a Gary Renard, a David Hoffmeister, a Marianne Williamson, a Ken Wapnick. I have gone beyond what they can offer me. As primarily conceptual teachers, they will be given the students who are ready to learn what they offer. Jesus says in the Course, some are only ready for a smile. Equally, how would an advanced teacher in time be the suitable bridge for a student early in their venture into awakening? They simply wouldn’t hear him, understand him, recognise him as has been shown by the reaction of the Course students. In fact, they are most likely to crucify him simply by their ‘unreadiness’. Do you think the resources of a Van Gogh are best spent teaching kindergarten children how to make a pasta art?
In my first year of the Academy, I didn’t hear the Master Teacher at all. It was very frustrating for me and why I was given Josh who was able to bridge the gap for me. The Master Teacher had a function, an agreement with his core guys to keep moving them along, always acting as a forerunner. This is why that within this lineage, I have been placed as a bridge for minds like yourself. Josh completely understands & appreciates the value that his apostles have. So, yes there is an intelligence to the plan that is NOT of YOUR making because, as you correctly said, you do NOT know the bigger picture, so how are you able to determine how and what it should look like? Leave it to One who does.
“There is no one from whom a teacher of God cannot learn, so there is no one whom he cannot teach. However, from a practical point of view he cannot meet everyone, nor can everyone find him. Therefore, the plan includes very specific contacts to be made for each teacher of God. There are no accidents in salvation. Those who are to meet will meet, because together they have the potential for a holy relationship. They are ready for each other….God’s teachers work at different levels, but the result is always the same. Each teaching-learning situation is maximal in the sense that each person involved will learn the most that he can from the other person at that time.”
Everyone has a place & function within the atonement. No matter where you find yourself in time, you will have the potential to act as a bridge for minds. In that sense, the Ken Wapnicks, Gary renards, David Hoffmeisters & Marianne Williamson’s have their place – they will attract minds specifically to where they reside within the frequency they are transmitting. As Jesus says, “Certain pupils have been assigned to each of God’s teachers, and they will begin to look for him as soon as he has answered the Call. They were chosen for him because the form of the universal curriculum that he will teach is best for them in view of their level of understanding….His pupils have been waiting for him, for his coming is certain. Again, it is only a matter of time. Once he has chosen to fulfill his role, they are ready to fulfill theirs. Time waits on his choice, but not on whom he will serve. When he is ready to learn, the opportunities to teach will be provided for him.”
Someone has to pick up minds not ready for this quantum leap that we are offering. Now, where WE as a lineage under the Master Teacher are residing, is in the full visceral cellular embodiment of the physical resurrection, between worlds, appearing & disappearing. We are living breathing DEMONSTRATIONS of the alternative, that there is no world. Who is ready to be part of this time/space sequence? Not very many at all. We are only for the very few who are ready to make the jump to “Z”. Source Temple represents that bridge from time to eternity. It is not usually the destiny of advanced teachers to descend deep into time to collect the ‘deep seeds’ (Although they are always willing to do so if guided to) – there are other teachers better placed within the greater plan to fulfil that role. Equally it needs the dedication of the rare ones keeping the portal open at the end of time for those souls preparing to leave.
“A universal theology is impossible, but a universal experience is not only possible but necessary. It is this experience toward which the course is directed.” What is the world? It is the attempt of subtraction, dissociation from this universal experience. What is Source Temple? It is the demonstration of the universal experience. How that pictures, formulates, is expressed is individual. Josh refers to this as “the yogic response to Truth”. Dramatics aside, when truthfully expressed, it may picture as anything: screams, bodies being thrown about, silence. When this happens there is no observer, there is no ‘do-er’ – you are being done. How is anyone to judge the meaning of the way it formulates? There IS no-one to judge – there is simply the experience which you can dive into at any moment. Those not in the experience, are judging, are observing. There is no in-between. Observation, judgement IS the denial of the universal experience. Your lack of “enjoyment” is simply exposing you to your judgemental ideas.
You have to understand that the whole excursion into time, the world is a complete parody, charade – it IS cartoonville! (Did you know that the location of Endeavour Academy, Wisconsin Dells, is smack bang in the centre of a tri-state holiday resort – when I first arrived I couldn’t believe how cartoon-like was the environment. Do you think that this is a coincidence? It’s a cue!) Do you think the human condition enjoys being exposed to its ridiculous lie?!! HA!
“Exposing Ourselves” to the “intimacy” of the experience IS what we are being asked to do! It’s an invitation. Are you seriously asking us to not be ourselves, to not demonstrate what we have been asked to do? To contract in fear? To diminish our expression of the alternative in the dream? Essentially, to be a human being and deny what it is we have been given to do? Those with eyes will see, those with ears will hear. Why are you or Roberto attempt to explain us – you can’t explain it! It’s impossible. We are not missionaries in the sense of trying to convert those who don’t want to be converted. We simply are GIVEN minds that may be ready to hear.
When you viewed the Forgiveness video – you had one of two choices: either to enter into the experience that was being offered and be healed or to observe & judge. “He who would not forgive must judge”. You are simply showing your unwillingness to join, the unnatural and “strange” ways the ego attempts to dissociate from the here & now.
There is always a natural sorting out of the ‘sheep from the goats’. At each stage, each cycle there is a dropping off of those who are unable to go the next leg of the journey. Simple, those who do not see are not ready to do so. What you see as “indifference” toward Course groups is simply a recognition of fact. Anyone with eyes to see would just have to watch one minute of one of the Physical Resurrection videos to immediately without question KNOW. Of course, miracles are always present. “The Call is universal. It goes on all the time everywhere. It calls for teachers to speak for It and redeem the world. Many hear It, but few will answer. Yet it is all a matter of time. Everyone will answer in the end, but the end can be a long, long way off.” Is a teacher going to wait around for thousands of years for a particular mind to stop denying Him? Don’t be ridiculous! When they are ready, they will be offered a bridge. In the meantime, they are the problem and not the solution. Another teacher will pick them up later when they are ready.
The world in its entirety is a denial of the light, of God and therefore of what we represent as the light in the dream. A mind which CHOOSES, i.e. is determined to continue to dream, HAS to crucify the symbols of light because their acceptance would be the precursor to the end of their dream. A teacher understands that, unfortunately so, crucifixion is part of the role he has to endure for a moment. (I remember a story Josh told once that after an Advent in Vienna, the group that went to the cafe after were in a lot of light and in their demonstration the whole matrix was shifting, collapsing. The people in the cafe on some level felt what they were doing literally turned around and in the minds were saying “stop what you are doing. We want to continue dreaming”)
You say, “I feel we tend to become one more group, apart from the “others” that unfortunately can’t accept us”. We are not the ones dissociating ourselves from the world – we are giving ourselves freely. We are willing to enter into the smallest willingness to open & join. If the mind is not in the disposition of being wrong, there is absolutely nothing we can do until it changes its mind. The problem lies with the lack of acceptance, the/your judgement. Who is in error here? Who is separating? The one judging clearly!
When a teacher comes into the dream to demonstrate, he just gives everything and is not attached at all to how or whether it is received. He is simply being himself. A true Master couldn’t give a flying fuck how he is received – he is simply being himself. Because you are so guilty to be yourself, you project your guilt onto the one who is wholly innocent & free. Finally the teacher takes you to the point where you can finally be yourself. “Dance like no-one is watching”. No-one IS watching! You’re not separate from ‘that’.
“No teacher of God should feel disappointed if he has offered healing and it does not appear to have been received. It is not up to him to judge when his gift should be accepted. Let him be certain it has been received, and trust that it will be accepted when it is recognized as a blessing and not a curse… It is not the function of God’s teachers to evaluate the outcome of their gifts. It is merely their function to give them. Once they have done that they have also given the outcome, for that is part of the gift. No one can give if he is concerned with the result of giving. That is a limitation on the giving itself, and neither the giver nor the receiver would have the gift.”
You are not here on the world’s terms so don’t let it tell you who you are and what you should do. It’s a viper’s nest, each colluding and verifying each other in the grievance. All it wants is your annihilation. Josh is if offering you a part in HIS awakening dream. Even here at Source Temple, effectively the best type of dream that the world can offer, dreams rarely intersect at a mutual place – we are always dealing with the impossibility of this place, no more so than at the top of the pyramid. Separation has always been the problem, but one which has already been solved & accomplished. We have a navigator who has returned from its accomplishment to guide us through this senseless, trivial maze. While the flavour of its outpicturing might not always appeal, ‘Modern Ashram’ is getting good ratings and his heading for an end-of-season Grand Finale – would you like to play a guest role? On God’s terms and not your own? Then fuck the world and its petty ways and get your ass here…humbly & gratefully.
